Flood Situation in Pakistan


In Last week of July 2010,a massive Flood strikes Pakistan's 1/4 land.
More than 17,500000 people have been affected due to it and more than 1000 people have died in Province Khyber Pakhtonkha (Sarhad),some areas of Punjab,Province Sindh and northern areas of Pakistan.Many people have lost communication and there is no way to reach them except helicopters.The most affected areas are Noshehra, Swat , ,Charsadda & Peshawar.According to U.N ,this disaster is much more bigger than Tsunami & Haiti.
After 10 billion loss due to these floods,UNICEF increased its aid to Pakistan 5 times and Saudi's "Talal Foundation" has also provided 10 million Riyals to Pakistani Government.Russia has also send helicopters and cargo planes.India had offered Pakistan 5 Million Dollars which Pakistan after "hesitantly" accepted it.
